3 Things You Can Do to Avoid Being Stressed Out

How do you respond when you are in a stressful situation? Do you get angry and frustrated or do you respond calmly and joyfully? In this article, you will learn three simple but effective things that you can do to remain calm and joyful in all stressful situations. The three things are: 1. Do not over react 2. Analyze the situation and 3. Respond appropriately

#1 Do Not Over React The next time that you find yourself in any stressful situation, do not react in anger or frustration. If you choose to respond in anger and frustration you will only escalate the situation. Instead of reacting in a negative manner, take control of the situation by recognizing that this is a possible stressful situation which may trigger you to respond with anger and frustration


Once you recognize that you are in a stressful situation, pull away from the situation.

#2 Analyze The Situation If it is possible, pull yourself away from the stressful situation before it escalates to the point of you responding in frustration and anger. When you pull away from the situation that will allow you the time that you need to see and review the whole picture. You may need a few minutes or even a few days before you are ready to respond to the situation. Be sure to use this time to analyze the situation and to find the best possible solution.

#3 Respond Appropriately In order to respond to the situation appropriately you have to be clear minded and have the conviction that you are going to respond peacefully and calmly no matter what. After all, a peaceful, calm response is what you are aiming for. When you approach the situation with the understanding that regardless of the outcome, you are going to have joy, you can already start celebrating because you are at peace with your decision.

Above all, remain calm and peaceful in every stressful situation by not focusing on the situation but on how you are going to respond to the situation.
